Presentation case of mathematical instruments by Domenicus Lusuerg containing an extensive range of over 30 items, which include a quadrant, a universal sundial, a set of Napier’s rods in a case and a range of sectors. In addition to the main instruments intended for surveying and military purposes this set contains the following drawing instruments: (fitted to the lid) a pair of single-handed compasses; a ruling pen with a crayon-holder at the reverse end; a double-ended crayon-holder; a pair of medium size compasses with inserts for ink, crayon and wheel pen and a protractor: (in the case itself) a pair of dividers; a large pair of compasses with inserts; a pair of callipers; a medium pair of compasses with inserts for ink, crayon and wheel pen; a pair of spring bows with a wing-nut screw and an elliptical trammel which can be converted into a surveyor’s cross, together with its drawing arm.
